First Transnational Project Meeting in Cyprus

The INHERIT kick off meeting was held at the Old Olive Mill in the village of Kato Drys, Cyprus, on January 24-25, 2024. The main objective of the meeting was to streamline the project management and implementation processes. The project coordinator – Iva Tarzlezhkova from the Devetaki Plateau Association – presented the project’s management plan; Martin Clark from the Kato Drys Council Community Council presented the project’s communication and dissemination strategy; and Borislava Zaharieva from Tetra Solutions explained the project’s quality assurance methodology.

The partners reviewed the project’s work plan and the output development schedule foreseen in the project proposal. Particular attention was paid to the discussion on the syllabus of the INHERIT training course, led by Evarist March from Naturalwalks. As part of the meeting programme, the partners visited several local sites in the Kato Drys area that would be included in the INHERIT digital trails.

At the end of the meeting, the partners agreed about the next project activities, including the development of the teaching and learning resources for the INHERIT training course.

Second Transnational Project Meeting in Spain

On June 2-3, 2025, the INHERIT partners met in Sant Esteve de Palautordera - a beautiful town in Catalonia, Spain. The meeting provided an update on the progress of the project, particularly in the development of heritage interpretation stories, heritage trails, and thematic quests across the four participating countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Slovakia, and Spain.

We reported significant progress in the development of the learning platform, which is now nearly prepared for full use. Representatives from all partner organizations — Devetaki Plateau Association and Tetra Solutions Ltd. (Bulgaria), Naturalwalks (Spain), Lisov Museum (Slovakia), and Kato Drys Community Council (Cyprus) — discussed the proposal by Tetra's experts for the digitalization of the stories, trails, and quests developed so far.

The meeting also focused on planning the next steps, including dissemination, exploitation, and sustainability of the project, as well as final deadlines and the expected usability and impact of the results. Our days in Catalonia were productive and inspiring, and we are all excited to see the tourist products come to life.

You’re welcome to join us! It will be interesting, fun, meaningful — and unforgettable!
